• F.S. GREENHOUSE / H.O.M.E. VOLUNTEERING ~
EVERY THURSDAY 1 pm–3 pm
Volunteers are welcome to help during the H.O.M.E. (Honor Our Mountain Environment) fall-winter-spring
season at the Forest Service Greenhouse in Mount Shasta with botanist Twyla Miller, to nurture seeds gathered
this fall and propagate plants to be planted next summer. Other hours can also be arranged. Tasks include planting,
potting, watering, feeding, mixing soil, and other peace-inducing down-to-earth activities.

Annual SHASTA MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL ~
SATURDAY MARCH 10, 5-10:30 pm
The Ecology Center is excited to present outstanding award-winning films in celebration of our planet from
the Wild and Scenic Film Festival. Films of varying length will cover a broad range of topics including adventure,
conservation, energy, wildlife, and just plain fun. Delicious food and drink will be available before the films.
Tickets $15, students/youth $10.
Location: Kenneth Ford Theatre, College of the Siskiyous in Weed.

•OUR CONNECTION TO WATER ~ HOW NATURE HEALS
WEDNESDAY MAY 16 ~ LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED
Blending science, nature, and the study of healing forces with the spotlight on water, this dynamic slide show and
talk will be presented by Peggy Risch, P.T., Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, Environmental Researcher for the
Ecology Center. It is Part 3 of a presentation given at the Craniosacral Therapy Conference in 2008 and revamped for
local showings. The event stands alone and can be understood even if one hasn’t attended the previous presentations.
